The Ethics Alliance for Community Service Providers (EACSP) provides ethics support to health and community service providers in the Greater Hamilton Health Network (GHHN) catchment area. Health and community service organizations in the GHHN vary in size and focus of operation, including mental health and addiction, acquired brain injury, home care, and assisted living. The EACSP was developed in response to an environmental scan of community service provider needs and engagement with end-users. Ongoing engagement with the EACSP steering committee ensures the Ethics Alliance is able to promote and support the ethics capacity needs of health and community service providers across the GHHN. Supports from the EACSP include education tailored to health and community service, access to Regional Ethics Network education, resource development, and opportunities to take part in ethics communities of practice.
Benefits of membership include:
- Quality patient-centered care
- Increased staff satisfaction and retention
- Building local ethics capacity
- Common processes and approaches to resolving ethics questions
- The development of shared ethics resources
